Nicole's Notes: Volume 7 (Nov. 3, 2014)

Happy Monday TOSH Parents and Guardians!
Ms. Etchell welcomes Ms. Perry to TOSH Culinary

This is Parent Teacher Interview week! You should have received an interview sign up form from your son/daughter last week and returned it to school with your interview requests. If you did not and wish to see any of our teachers on Thursday or Friday, please call the Main Office right away and let one of our secretaries know. It takes many hours to build the interview schedule and the sooner we have that information, the better!

Last week was a busy one with many activities and events on the go. I tried to capture some in pictures along the way and hope the ones I have included here will allow you to celebrate our school spirit with us. See the special "TOSH Rocks Octoberfest" blog post for pictures from last week's Octoberfest fun! There were so many students and staff dressed up on Halloween day Friday, I had to create a separate page!

PARENT COUNCIL NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Our Parent Council has booked a table for the Craft Fair and is looking for parent volunteers to help work the table for 2 hour shifts: November 8 from 9 AM-8 PM and November 9 from 10 AM-5 PM. If you can spare an hour or two to help, please contact Karen Smith at smithkaren2@hotmail.com.

The next Parent Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 17 beginning at 6:30 PM in the TOSH Library. All are welcome!

ANNUAL TOSH CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR- NOV. 8 & 9

Plan to attend the Annual Christmas Craft Fair at TOSH on Saturday, November 8 (9 a.m.-8 PM) and November 9 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. All proceeds from the Fair go directly to help fund the many programs and activities involving students at Three Oaks. Bring a friend and get a head start on your Christmas shopping this coming weekend!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD COLLECTION BEGINS WEDNESDAY!

The Community Works Council will be collecting items for shoe boxes to be sent to children in developing nations in time for Christmas. Students are asked to bring in non-perishable items like school supplies and personal hygiene items that will fit in a shoe box for both boys and girls. We will have a box available during Parent Teacher interviews in case parents would like to bring donated items in with them. This campaign will run for two weeks.

STORM GAME FUNDRAISER RAISES MUCH NEEDED "IN OUR OWN BACKYARD" FUNDS!
Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the Island Storm in our gym last Tuesday. We are very grateful, as well, to our friends at Scotiabank Summerside who have indicated that they will be matching the $360 raised in our 50/50 Draw at the game. Thank you!!! This raises our fundraising total for the game to $3210!!
Our Leadership 621 class ran a high caliber event, and everyone in attendance agreed that it was great entertainment for a great cause!
